POVERTY IN THE WORLD

In the world, 1.4 billion people suffer extreme poverty and almost 900 million suffer from hunger, they do not have access to clean water and other basic services such as health and education. This is very evident in Colombia, which heads the list of countries with the most poverty in the population and with the most corruption at the international level.

Poverty is defined as that situation in which the basic needs to live are not satisfied due to lack of economic resources. On the other hand, there are types of poverty that only affect education, health, food or services, or that, on the contrary, affect all four at the same time.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Increase investment in the development of impoverished regions and communities: International cooperation or development projects are the best ways to end poverty. This type of medium-long-term action is aimed at tackling its causes from various fronts. There is no doubt that the solution is to invest in the worst hit communities and build schools, provide them with services, give them housing and need them to make money, not give them money. That governments stop corruption, vote for the right people and that the corrupt be tried by a judge and pay for their damages.
